Mama wanted some Christmas lights from IKEA so we got some. There are some on our side table and our feature wall in the living room.

One string of LED lights was too short, but papa thought of a way to run it under a shelf and above my LEGO surface! Now I can go to sleep with the gentle glow of 16 stars in my bedroom. Yawn!

As I was walking home with mama and papa yesterday, I spotted a man walking towards us. He was bald.

Is that the word to use? Or should I have said melon head, botak, or follicle-challanged?

Anyway, as we got closer, I pointed at him and said, “That man needs to wear a wig!” Papa shushed me straight away and when we got out of earshot, we had a laugh. Actually, I had started laughing as soon as papa tried to silence me.

The man wasn’t very near, so I doubt he actually heard me. I try to speak properly too, so he may not have understood me!

In any case, my folks told me that was not a polite thing to say because that man might have wanted to be bald or he might not have had the choice. They then mentioned something about me needing to develop an internal monologue or dialogue.

I know what I think of that, but I am not saying. I am having an internal monologue.

Have I told you about how I like to take the elevator on my own? I can’t remember if I have. But anything worth telling is worth telling twice!

When I get some from school, I look forward to running down a ramp that leads from the carpark to our apartment block. I run ahead of my folks to the lift landing and go up to the our apartment where I wait for them. In the meantime, the slowpokes check the mail and talk before they find me waiting and dangling on our front gate. Sometimes I hide behind a wall and surprise my parents.

It’s a weekday ritual and I never tire of it!

She reached the part about a reptile called a gila monster. She pronounced it “geela”, but I knew it was pronounced “heela”. So I told her. When I got back from school, I told papa what happened.

Papa said that I was right. He also asked me how I pointed out the teacher’s mistake. He wanted to know if I did it nicely. Huh? If someone does or says something wrong, shouldn’t you just tell them for their own good?

Apparently not. I have to tell them nicely too. Oh, bother!

Papa says this is the start of many similar incidents between me and my teachers to come. I wonder what he means…

What a weekend I had…

On Friday, mama had a girls’ evening out so papa and I had a boys’ evening out. We bought Spore Hero for the Wii. It is so much more fun than the one for the iPod Touch because my creature is now on land!

We also found out that grandpa won some money playing Toto. So he offered to treat us to dinner at Garden Slug on Saturday. Feeling full and contented, I asked to stay over with my grandparents. After all, I had to find some way to spend the money that grandpa gave me!

On Sunday, grandma and I made our way to Toys R Us. I selected two LEGO sets and one car. That car came with another car for free so I ended up with two instead! And I spent just half of what grandpa gave me.

I was so happy that I told grandma that it was like having Christmas and my birthday all at once! When can I celebrate “birthmas” again?
