Par-tay!

I love it when people come to visit. A whole bunch came by yesterday to celebrate mama’s and Aunty Gen’s birthdays in December.

One of the best parts of the party was the cake. Actually cakes to be precise because there were two! Double joy!

It’s back!

It’s back, it’s back, the Christmas tree is back! I was so happy to see the Christmas tree up in our living room that I danced and chanted and zipped about the place.

We all had our roles to play. Papa took it out of storage and put the main parts together. Mama decorated it with new stuff she bought from IKEA. And I put the big star on top.

Oh, I added a few LEGO minifigs to the tree for good measure. There is already a huge present underneath with my name on it that needs guarding! My Star Wars clone troopers will take care of it!

Did the world get a little bit smaller this week? No? Well, something has changed…

I feel a little bit bigger, wiser and worldlier! Maybe it is because I have been promoted to K2.

I have a new classroom and new teachers. Most of my friends are the same but I wouldn’t mind if one or two of my classmates decided to stay home the whole year!

Apparently K2 is going to be a lot busier than K1, but we are still taking it easy. The younger kids look a bit lost and mama volunteered to help out in school.

You know, they could have just asked us K2 kids to show the young ‘uns the ropes. What good is experience if you can’t lord it over underlings?

Or maybe I should call him Pa Vader. Why? Papa’s sore throat makes him sound like Darth Vader!

Along with his sore throat is papa’s sore body. Papa says that he gets ill at the end of each teaching semester when his body lets its guard down.

Aiyah, why not surround his body with Stormtroopers? I have many LEGO trooper minifigs that I can lend him for this purpose!

Thanksgiving

If I was still living in the US, I’d be celebrating Thanksgiving. But I’m not. If I was, I’d be gobbling turkey. But I’m not.

Instead, I enjoyed mama’s special nasi lemak for dinner with both my folks at the table. For that I am thankful.

Oops! I thought that I was to be promoted to K2 today. It turns out that is only going to happen next week!

No matter. I went through another rite of passage this week. I am not using my kiddie car seat anymore. I have moved on to a booster seat!

Now I am by a window and I get to raise and lower the window. Whee, up! Ooh, down! Today I control a window. Tomorrow I drive the car!

Tomorrow is my last day of being in K1. I will start off as a K1 kid in the morning, and in the afternoon, I will be in K2.

Boy, I am getting big! I wonder if it is time for me to learn how to shave…

I am back in school this week after missing it most of last week.
