Looking back

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Here we are at the last day of the year and papa says that I have little sense of nostalgia. He says that I have not lived enough life to be nostalgic. Nostalgia? It sounds like a disease!
This from the same person who says that nostalgia is like grammar: It makes the past perfect and [...]

T minus one…

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

I honestly don’t have any concept of time. I know day from night and I live only from day to day.
I can read off the time from a digital clock. I will be accurate every hour on the hour if I read off an analogue clock or watch. But like I said, I don’t really [...]

12 days

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Aren’t there supposed to be 12 days of Christmas? You know, as in the song about those 12 days and rings and poultry and people boogie-ing or something.
Shouldn’t the celebrations last longer? More importantly, shouldn’t we have presents for each day of Christmas?
I think our tree looks sad with almost no more presents underneath it. [...]

Presents post-mortem

Friday, December 26th, 2008

It’s Boxing Day. I did not know what this day after Christmas was until now. It’s the day for putting in storage (or the donation pile) the presents that weren’t appropriate.
While I received quite a pile this year, I really only like a few. My favourite is the LEGO Clone Wars set. I got mama [...]

Christmas & cookies

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Boy, was I pooped from yesterday’s festivities! I was so tired that I slept till it was almost noon and I was the last to wake up. Then I emptied my Christmas stocking and opened my presents.
But I will not blog about today. Instead, I will share the photos that mama and I took at [...]

Eve

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

It’s Christmas eve already! I thought it would never get here!
It’s also mama’s birthday. Happy birthday, mama! I hope you like the roses that papa and I got for you. (But why mama celebrates her birth by gradually killing some flowers I will not understand. Papa tells me that is one of the mysteries of [...]

Reproducing presents?

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Last week I told you about the two lonely presents under our tree. But they got busy right away!
The next day, a huge one appeared behind them. Today, there are many of them! I’m so excited that I cannot count them properly!
I realise that not all of the presents are mine, but most of them [...]

Party 2

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

I am a party animal!
I attended another party on Sunday afternoon. One of my best buds at school invited a bunch of us over to decorate our own Christmas cookies!
It was mostly coloured sugar, but we didn’t care. We made the fuel, consumed it, expended it, and started all over again!
I think I have enough [...]

Party 1

Friday, December 19th, 2008

I was told that it was going to be an interesting weekend. And it all started today!
I thought that it began quite well because school was closed. I don’t know why and I did not care. But mama had scheduled a BCG vaccination for me, so that was not good news. I was quite jovial [...]

Bathroom eviction

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

I enjoy having my own bathroom. I have my own toilet seat and the sink is lower than the ones in my folk’s bathroom. But the mirrors on the cabinet are too high for me to look into.
When I realised that I could look into the mirrors in my folks’ bathroom, I decided that I [...]
