Motor skills
Earlier this week, a teacher tested our motor skills without telling us. When mama came to pick me up, my teacher told mama that I needed to develop some of my “gross motor skills”.
At first I did not know that she meant things like catching a ball without letting it bounce first. Or running in a straight line like there was no tomorrow. So I thought that I already had great “gross” motor skills. Like picking my nose. Or wiping melted chocolate on the seat of my underwear.
OK, I’ll admit I don’t have the kind of gross motor skills that my teacher was looking for. But how many of my friends can walk down stairs like an adult (left-right-left-right instead of left-left-left or right-right-right)?
And how about they measure fine motor skills like writing and putting small objects together? Papa says that I have some pretty good fine motor control. He says that I can probably powder the armpits of an ant!
Hmm, I should try that! Someone get me some sweaty ants and a really tiny powder puff…
