Gardens

Papa was on leave so we saw lots of leaves today. And branches and trees and flowers.

We visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens despite the rain. I wanted to go only because papa told me we could find pine cones there, but I had a feast for the senses!

There were so many colourful flowers, a few brave butterflies, and some very fierce-looking dragonflies! I admired the strangely shaped pitcher plants, smelled Tembusu blossoms, and listened to man-made waterfalls.

The waterfalls reminded me that I needed to pee, but since “fertilising” the plants was illegal, we visited an open concept loo. I loved it! There was a urinal and sink low enough for me to do what I needed to do (why don’t I have these at home?).

After the output, I needed some input. So we stepped into a food court where we stuffed ourselves silly with nasi lemak, mee soto, and roti prata.

Suitably refuelled, we ventured out again and I found what I was originally looking for: Pine cones! Yippee!
