Puke!

I went out for dinner with my folks today and saw the most curious sight!

We visited a pasta place at a shopping mall near the mouth of the Singapore river. I had a blast as I was given crayons to scribble with and had chocolate milk shake to drink. The dinner was just as good as the view!

After dinner we took a walk along the Esplanade just like the tourists. Who were we kidding? We were tourists because I had never been there and my folks had been away for quite a few years.

It was at the concrete riverside that I noticed something called the Merlion. This half lion half fish creature is a symbol of Singapore. That looked strange in itself. What made it look even stranger that it was puking into the river! I don’t remember seeing such an animal at the zoo. And no one seemed to mind that it was ill!

Fortunately, we beat a hasty retreat indoors and I got to window shop in toy stores. If only my experiences were not marred by rude or bossy kids! Maybe I should emulate the Merlion and puke on them! Ha, that would scare them away.

And I could ask for another chocolate milk shake after that…
