There is a ridiculous saying that “children should be seen and not heard.” Piffle to the person who came up with it!
I love to yakkity-yak-yak all day long. I can talk non-stop to people I know and to myself when no one wants to listen. But if I do not know who you are, you might think that I am mute!
But I talk. I even try to talk when I get my teeth brushed. Papa says I sound like someone at the dentist. What’s a dentist?
Papa says that if I don’t brush my teeth, I will have to see the dentist often. It was not what he said, but how he said it. It didn’t sound good.
So I’ll be good and brush my teeth. Just don’t stop me from talking, OK?
