Xmas 2006

Merry Christmas, everybody! I say that now in case my folks tell me to greet everyone by title and name again…

Yes, it was my first Christmas in Singapore and, boy, was it an experience! The best part about it was the bumper crop of presents I received. But before I got the gifts, I had to be Santa’s helper by distributing presents to everyone present at Christmas dinner!

Yes, I was “child labour”. Not only that, every aunt and uncle or grand this and grand that had a certain title based on whose side of the family they were from and what order they were born in!

Yes, they have strange sounding names too. Like “Aaaii-yeeee!” and “Cuckoo!” I got fed up after about ten presents and just said, “Merry Christmas, everybody!”

Yes, I got my just rewards today when I was allowed to open my presents. Christmas should come EVERYDAY! I’d not only get presents but also enjoy cake because mama’s birthday is on Christmas Eve!

Yes, I had a great time. I shan’t forget it because I have more photos to remember Christmas 2006 by!
