Going potty

I am really exercising extreme bladder and sphincter control and this is driving me absolutely potty!

Yes, my potty training has resumed in earnest and after a long, long hiatus. As far as I am concerned, we should be allowed to wear diapers well into adulthood. They are so convenient!

I first started pooping in the loo when I was about seven months old. I didn’t mind then because I didn’t know any better. But then trips away from home disrupted my training and I “forgot” how to poo in the loo.

When my folks tried resuming the potty training, the cold seasons, papa’s conference trips, and our move back to Singapore all conspired to disrupt the training.

Now that I am in Singapore, I wear big boy underwear instead of diapers. Those things get really wet and smelly when I just think about peeing and pooing! You can imagine the mess if I do not get to the potty in time!

So sometimes I resort to holding back the tide and mudslide all day. In the evening, I get really uncomfortable because I feel like I am about to burst! I put one hand in front and one behind in my effort to stem the flow.

But I eventually have to let go. I don’t know why my parents and grandparents are so happy when I use the loo. Maybe they are rejoicing the fact that they don’t have to clean me up. Lazy bums!
