New York 3
Today my first stop was the farmers market at Union Square. There were so many things to see and taste! I got to sample some free strawberries and fruit juice and drank a whole container of the yummiest chocolate milk ever! Mmm!
Then it was off to Grand Central Terminal. But the only trains I saw were in the station store and the T-shirt that mama bought me. Piffle!
Next stop: New York Public Library at 5th Avenue. Piffle again… there were no kiddie books here like at the Monroe County Library! Just lots of large, quiet rooms and boring looking books.
We then had lunch at Bryant Park like the locals. (The park was right beside the library.) Ah, I love picnics! Mama bought soup and a sandwich that we gobbled up in no time flat.
After scuttling around to find a loo after I made brown, we took the subway to the free Staten Island Ferry. I don’t remember much of this part because I fell asleep on the way there. But I helped papa take this photo on the way back!
Then we visited “ground zero” of 9/11. There was a big hole in the ground where two really tall buildings used to be. But that was not my fault because I wasn’t even an itch in papa’s pants then!
To round off a long day, we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. By walk, I mean mama and papa walked while I got pushed around in my stroller. They had it easy because the bumpy wooden boards were like meat tenderizer on my baby buttocks!
Speaking of meat, we had an outdoor pizza dinner in Brooklyn. We then searched for an elusive cheesecake shop, which we found with the help of a NY cop. It was a yummy way to end the day. Burp!
