Big Apple

Today was my last day in Bloomington… bye-bye! So that’s what my parents were rushing about to do all week! I don’t know what the big deal was! All we got to show for it was an empty apartment!

But I got to fly to New York and boy were my arms tired. (Was that supposed to be funny, papa?) Apparently NY has got something to do with apples and I intend to take a big bite. So far the only apples I have seen are those sold by fruit vendors on street corners.

Anyway, we took a train from the Upper West Side to Times Square to take advantage of the summer light.

Boy is NY bright and noisy! Some parts are smelly too! I found out first hand when we took the subway. Even I had to go “Eww!”

Papa says that the weather in NY this week is similar to being back home. Apparently the noise and crowds are too. Eek! I normally like walking but I must admit that I was quite intimidated. Is it going to be like this in Singapore?
