Phrases II

Today, I continue telling you about my favorite phrases.

5. No problem!
I like using this phrase at random. My folks say it all the time and so do I. I don’t have a problem with that, do you? No problem!

4. Hold on tight!
I like riding on papa and mama. Every time I do this, I am told to hold on tight. So before my folks say it, I tell them what I need to do. This also works when I want to help carry groceries or mail.

3. Mama/Papa, more (something) please!
My folks don’t like it when I demand things. Apparently I am supposed to be a polite lord of the manor. (We don’t live in a manor, so why do I have to be polite?) But since I only get snacks or drinks or stuff that I can’t reach by asking nicely, I say please.

2. Mama/Papa, where are you?
I say this on three occasions. When I wake up from a nap, I will stand up and call for one of my folks. I also say this when I am playing hide-and-seek with mama or papa. Finally, when I am returning from a nice walk, I like to call out to mama or papa from downstairs. I like to see them popping their heads from behind the bedroom door, their hiding place, or the kitchen window in response to my call.

1. Sorry, mama… kiss!
If mama scolds me or if I ka-bonk into her, I immediately say, “Sorry, mama… kiss!” It’s my attempt to prevent her from scolding me even more. No problem… family hug!
