I constantly amaze my folks with the way I pick up and use phrases, so I thought I should share my Top 10 favorites!
10. Family hug
I say this when I want a hug from both mama and papa. Making an Isaac sandwich is almost as yummy as peanut butter on toast!
9. Watch on the computer/TV
I love watching DVDs on TV or one of the computers at home. But since I am not allowed to mess around with the DVDs or players, I have to ask one of my folks to play my monster trucks show or Wallace and Gromit or The Wiggles.
8. What’s that, mama/papa?
My folks started asking me, “What’s that?” and now I ask them the same question. Sometimes it is something crawling on the ground, sometimes it is something I spy outside the window. It’s a great way to learn about new things!
7. Wait for mama
Sometimes I get impatient about going out or wanting a snack or whatever. But I know what mama will say to me if she is busy, so I say it for her.
6. Good job! or There we go!
This is another phrase I parrot from mama and papa. When I get my shoes off or my shirt on, I might say, “There we go!” Sometimes mama or papa will do something for me and I will say “Good job!” Hey, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours!
