Operator?
The day of the telephone operator is almost over. But if you call the Tan household, don’t be surprised if you hear from me first!
I love to pick up the phone. There is even a challenge as I have to get it before the answering machine kicks in!
I like bringing the phone over to mama or papa, but I will then insist on screening their calls by speaking to the caller. When I am satisfied, I hand the phone back to them.
On one or two occasions, they actually let me have the phone from the start! I listened to the callers yap and yap away until they fell silent.
It turns out that they were telemarketers and you should have seen my folks sniggering away! Tee-hee-hee!
