Gongxi?
Wow, I must be having a lot of fun because time is really flying! It seems like the new year just started and we are going to celebrate another new year already!
What? It’s Chinese New Year this weekend? It’s not on my calendar and hardly anyone knows about it here. What? I’m Chinese? I thought I was a U.S. citizen! I have Chinese blood running through my veins? Who put it there?
What? I might get money just for being cute and a kid? (Do I get more as a very cute infant?) I guess that is one reason why mama is teaching me to say and do “Gongxi, gongxi!”
Apparently I would get more money if I was in Singapore. Practically all of my folks’ friends and relatives are there… and some of those on mama’s side are loaded!
Do me a favor, mama and papa. Whatever money I get, please change the notes into coins so I can put them into my penguin bank!
