Beng book
My folks say that I am now officially a little redneck (that’s Ah Beng to the folks back home)!
It’s not because I have reverted to just staring at most strangers. (I used to wave and blow kisses indiscriminately.) It’s not because I have a loud voice. It’s because of duct tape.
Some folks here who are too poor or cheap to repair their cars use duct tape to replace car windows, keep hoods or doors closed, or hold fenders to the rest of the car.
My folks had to repair one of my new board books with duct tape. Why? Because I ripped it apart by “accident”. Why use duct tape? Because it is the only thing strong and flexible enough to serve as a book spine.
They are the ones who used duct tape and they call me Beng?
