Rain, rain

Wednesday, August 31st, 2005

There was so much rain yesterday! It started raining when I woke up and it was still raining when I went to bed. And it didn’t let up in between.
Even though it brought much needed relief, I am not sure I like the rain very much. I not only had to stay indoors, it also [...]

DVDs

Tuesday, August 30th, 2005

Did I tell you how much I like to watch myself on TV? Papa not only makes clips of me and my antics available online, he also burns the higher quality clips on DVD.
I can watch myself over and over again on TV. Talk about a star being born! Oh, the drama! Oh, the [...]

More words!

Monday, August 29th, 2005

I am trying to say more new words. And I am back with mostly multi-syllable ones.
I know that when I say “up” mama or papa will pick me up. I like to say “flower” when I see the real ones downstairs or pictures of them or the ones on a hand towel. I love saying [...]

Stars!

Monday, August 29th, 2005

I am starry-eyed! I see them overhead before I sleep at night. And they are the first thing I see when I wake up. I am talking about the glow-in-the-dark sticky stars that mama and papa put on the bedroom ceiling.
They told me that they put the stars up there before I was born. Whatever! [...]

Winey mama

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

Today, some of the mamas from the playgroup decided to go on another “ladies sans babies” outing. They got wasted at Oliver Winery.
I don’t know why they felt this need to leave us at home instead of taking their precious little darlings along. Don’t they think about all the quality time that they miss?
Anyway, mama [...]

Corny video

Saturday, August 27th, 2005

I don’t believe the depths of boredom that papa will sink to.
He videotaped me eating corn yesterday. That part I have come to expect. After all, if he has taped me pooping, I don’t see why he should not do the other end!
But now he wants to share the video of me eating a corn [...]

Corny

Friday, August 26th, 2005

I knew that there was at least one reason why I am proud to be a Hoosier. Our delicious corn!
Mama bought a few cobs from Marsh for just 20 cents each. We had them for dinner and they were so juicy and sweet! Mmm, it was like having dessert for dinner! It was simply a-maize-ing!
So… [...]

Fun-fun-fun

Thursday, August 25th, 2005

Today the playgroup met at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
All of us had such fun! But I decided to have fun of my own sort too. When the others got all excited about the splish-splash water area, I just strolled around nonchalantly. When mama tried to impress me with sand, I just pooh-poohed it. After [...]

Kaya!

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

I had nonya kaya toast for breakfast today! Mmm! It was so yummy that I ate one whole piece of whole wheat bread.
Where have my folks been hiding this food of the gods? After all, I think of myself as one and should be served appropriate food!

More words

Monday, August 22nd, 2005

What was I thinking? Why did I start with two-syllable words?
I have opted to pick up a few mono-syllabic words like “please”, “more”, “book”, “bowl”, “ball”, and my favorite, “bum”. They are much easier to say than “apple”, “bubble”, or “turtle”!
But you know what is more fun than saying words? Calling things what I want [...]
