Close shave?
Horrors! I just heard that some mamas and papas shave their babies’ heads when they are one month old! I feel sorry for some of my non-ang mo counterparts. Folks who cut our hair believe that it is “unclean”. Have you heard of shampoo or soap and water?
Eek, we come into this world with so little and the little that we have you take away? Can’t you wait till later in life for us to experience bad hair cuts? How do you expect us to look cute when we are botak?
I am glad that my mama and papa don’t share the same superstitions. I still have my full head of hair. That is, what is left after some fell out, got pulled out by me, or got rubbed off when I roll over the bed. It’s a good thing too since it is too cold now to be botak.
