Hide-and-seek
When mama and papa visit Aunty Liz, they will talk (boring!) and then Aunty Liz will play hide-and-seek with me (egg-citing!). She presses mama’s tummy and tries to look for me while I wriggle and squirm with glee! Then she uses a magic wand to listen to my heart beat… wow, it’s so loud! One day I might let out a poot-poot and surprise everyone!
Papa tells me that Aunty Liz is a midwife. He said that some other uncles and aunties back home think we are crazy or that we live on a farm! But mama tells me that Aunty Liz and her friends wear white coats like doctors and use high tech equipment in their offices! I guess the way people here think about pregnancy and birth is different from back home. Over here, having babies is considered a natural event, not a medical one. I also say!
Mama, papa, and I attended child birth classes at Bloomington Area Birth Services where we met other mamas and papas and babies. (The other babies did not seem to have their computers on!) Aunty Georg’ann and Aunty Julie taught us lots of fun exercises and other interesting things. Once the last baby is born (that’s me!), we intend to have a reunion. Then I will harass the other babies for their emails or blogs! Heh-heh!
